Super Science at St. Joseph’s

At St. Joseph’s we encourage the curiosity and spark the imagination of young scientists about the world around us.

We have currently taken part in British Science Week, our school theme this year was habitats. Each class were involved in practical activities, competitions and we even had Knowsley Safari park come to the school!

I really liked it when the staff from Knowsley Safari Park came because they brought a range of animals in and told us about their habitats and how they adapted to live there. It was really interesting!
Isabelle

With our teacher we did a really fun experiment with lemonade and raisins, we got the raisins to dance up and down! I love doing science, it’s my favourite subject.
Millie

I liked it when the animals came in so we could touch them. I also liked taking part in the science competition and getting to draw our animal.
Lola

I really enjoyed getting to seen the lizard. I remember the little rhyme about the snake, red next to back is a friend of Jack, red next to yellow can kill fellow.
