Celebrating Chinese New Year
We are so lucky to have been visited by the Chinese lions who performed their dance for our school. Some children even got to feed the lions some lettuce which is a sign of good fortune!

Today we had lots of fun learning a traditional Chinese dance.
We have really enjoyed dressing our school tree with the rest of Key Stage 1 and 2.
Year 2 did an amazing job as they role-played a Baptism ceremony.
We have been learning the importance of having a well balanced and healthy diet. We have also talked about how sugar impacts our health and how to properly clean our teeth.
Year 2 have wreaked havoc in the classroom as they took on the role of naughty Tabitha Lumpit, the character in our class read.
In PSHE we have been learning about all the wonderful qualities we have that make us different. We created a club where everyone can join, no matter their difference.
This week Year 2 have been practising the C chord on their ukuleles. They sounded amazing and are improving every week!
We have been extremely busy exploring habitats around school with Mr Hughes. We spied some mini-beasts that have made their homes in the field and discussed why they might live there.
