At St Joseph’s, Relationships, Sex and Health Education is taught as part of PSHE curriculum. We utilise the PSHE Association – Primary PSHE Education Thematic Model scheme of work, alongside the Archdiocese’s Journey in Love scheme to teach all aspects of personal, social and health education, including all statutory requirements for relationships, health and sex education. Links are also made with other curriculum areas, particularly the National Curriculum for Science, which includes key knowledge about the human body and how the body changes and develops through the stages of life. Details of exactly what is taught in each year group can be found below in the document: RSHE Curriculum – Overview for Parents.
If you have any questions or comments you would like to make about our provision for RSHE then please contact school via email for the attention of Mr Hughes.
