Book Week 2020
The children had lots of fun reading books with their families in Book Week.
The children had lots of fun reading books with their families in Book Week.
We talked about Noah and his ark and how Noah put his faith in God. We designed a poster and then in groups spelt out the letters Hope.
The children have enjoyed sketching and shading as an introduction to our art lessons. We are learning the importance of doing things that help to calm our minds and keep them healthy, like sketching and shading.
The children have really been enjoying reading our new book ‘Look Up!’. The story follows a young girl who wants to be an astronaut, just like Mae Jemison. The children have been writing about Mae and how she came to be an astronaut for NASA, after many years of hard work and belief in herself. This is an important message for the children to take from the book.
Children have been exploring ‘New Beginnings’ in Come and See. We have been learning that God is always close to us and loves each and everyone one of us in our new beginnings in life. We know it is important to remember to be happy and grateful for each new day.
