The Gingerbread Man
As part of our Literacy programme, the children in Reception have been reading The Gingerbread Man. Inspired by the story, the class discussed the ingredients needed to make their own gingerbread. The children worked together to weigh and mix the ingredients carefully, creating the perfect dough. The highlight of the day came during snack time, when everyone enjoyed a delicious treat — their very own freshly baked gingerbread creations!
Children voted for their end of day book in todays PSHE lesson about democracy.
A Special Morning with Sister Bridget
We had a gorgeous morning welcoming Sister Bridget into our classroom to meet our new Reception children. Together, we spoke about what we are thankful for and shared ideas on how we can show gratitude each morning to our friends and families.
It’s always so special to have Sister Bridget visit our class — her presence brings warmth and reflection to our mornings. Even Mabel joined in for the photograph, making the moment extra memorable!
