Pentecost: The celebration of the Good News of Jesus
During Come and See the children explored ‘Pentecost’. We created windmills to represent that the Holy Spirit is just like the wind; although we cannot see it, its power is all around us. We also read Luke’s story of Pentecost based on Acts 2:1-4.
Come and See: Pentecost
The children and I started our new topic of by reading the‘ The Jolly Postman’. We gathered letters, cards, photographs and certificates. This allowed the children to recall on moments where they felt proud. The children were so proud of their achievements as they appreciated their good news with friends. We also sang ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’ to represent how we felt when we shared our achievements.
Caterpillars
We are watching our caterpillars grow and change every day. We are fascinated by them! The children loved reading the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’.
Year 5 enjoyed art learning about typology
Easter Bonnet Parade
Year 1 loved showing off their Easter bonnets to end our time celebrating Easter over the past few weeks. We look forward to the new start that Spring brings and celebrate the hope Jesus’ resurrection brings us.
The Easter Bunny has arrived early!
Year 4 being prayerful looking at the stations of the cross
Holy Week
Sister Bridget loved being with Reception this morning. Sister Bridget was blown away with all the beautiful manners and kindness. The children shared their knowledge and learning all about Holy Week. We gathered together to pray and thank Jesus for sacrificing everything he did for us and as we go forth, we will remember to live like Jesus.
