Today we had a visit from Ann Angel, linked to our Judaism topic in RE. Our theme was Rosh Hashanah.
A dentist visited us today to talk about how to look after our teeth. He gave us all a 2 minute timer to use when we’re brushing our teeth at home.
Scientists for the afternoon – Year 3 became rock scientists looking at different samples of rocks through magnifiers, observing the rocks in detail and making carefully labelled drawings to record what we had found. We then worked out the name of each rock.
Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the library. We all enjoyed looking at the books and even recognised some we have in school. Everyone is really excited about joining the library.
Year 2 did an amazing job as they role-played a Baptism ceremony.
We have been learning the importance of having a well balanced and healthy diet. We have also talked about how sugar impacts our health and how to properly clean our teeth.
Our Y6 children enjoy reading with reception children every week.
We read the book Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper then made our own pumpkin soup! We found out what the parts of a pumpkin called then drew pictures of the ingredients.
