The Gingerbread Man
As part of our Literacy programme the children will be reading ‘The Gingerbread Man’. Reception spoke about the ingredients that they would need to make a recipe. The children also weighed out the ingredients to create a perfect mixture. The children used their senses to explore the smell of the ginger and cinnamon through the mixture. During snack today Reception had a gorgeous treat and ate their baked goods.
Supertato
As part of our Literacy scheme this term Reception are reading the story ‘Supertato’. The children received a letter from ‘The chilly peas’ instructing them that the chilly peas needed to be saved from the ice. They left us items to use to set them free: rubber gloves, tweezers, salt, hot water and hammers. The children successfully set the chilly peas free.
