Year 1 had a fantastic day out at the Museum of Liverpool where they explored the galleries and learnt about transport in the past. They also spent time observing and sketching interesting features of the docklands.

Year 2 had a fascinating workshop learning about the life and achievements of Neil Armstrong from serving in the navy and becoming a pilot, to training as an astronaut and walking on the moon
The year 4 children had a great afternoon taking part in a workshop about their current topic The Romans. They learnt new facts and got to dress up in armour and togas. They also got the opportunity to look at Roman artefacts.
We started the day finding out about everyday life in Ancient Egypt, then it was on to a journey to the afterlife. Next, we took part in a mummification workshop, removing a brain and internal organs and preparing a body for the afterlife.
Finally, we visited the aquarium and watched a video about plastic pollution before we admired all the wonderful sea creatures.
After Christmas Year 1 will be learning about toys from the past.
Yesterday, to launch our new topic, we had a visit from Del our History expert.
She showed us lots of toys from the past, toys that our parents and grandparents would of played with. It was a great afternoon and we really enjoyed it!
