This morning the children had a great experience with making Pumpkin soup. The children used their cutting skills to chop up the pumpkin. They used their senses to explore the inside of the pumpkin once we cut it open. We read the story ‘A Pipkin of Pepper’ and for snack all the children tasted it and thought it was delicious.
Year 3 has been reading and analysing a selection of poems about autumn. We have been selecting powerful vocabulary and discussion the impact on the reader.
We blindfolded one of us and asked our friend to guide us. This was part of our work about trusting in God and how important it is for us to have someone in our lives for guidance.
A beautiful prayer and liturgy gathering was had with all of our gorgeous parents. Our theme this week was all about how we can ‘Praise God’. The children prayed and reflected on how they can show praise. As the children go forth themselves and their grown ups reflected on how they can show praise at home to God. Thank you all for taking the time and gathering together with Reception.
