Special Visitor
Sister Bridget came and visited the children in Reception and we all had a gorgeous morning celebrating ourselves and our family members. We prayed, sang and even danced. It’s always so special to have Sister Bridget come in and bless us with her presence and look down on us as Reception start a new school
Role Play
In the home corner the children acted out how a child can be held safe and snug in a parent’s arms.
I trust you God.
Just like a baby
safe and snug
being carried in a mum’s arms.
So, I can rest in your love
so gently held.
So good to be in your care
I will rest in your love for me.
Psalm 131
Myself “God knows and loves each person”
Reception have been exploring ‘myself’ topic during Religious Education.
Reception have been exploring what it means to be a part of a family. The children brought photographs in of a family member who is special to them and presented them in front of the class. Reception also made clay models of themselves and the children painted self portraits.
God says you are precious to me. I love you; I know you. I know your name. You are my child.
