Rugby
This half term in P.E we have been practising our Rugby skills. We have been learning how to safely throw and catch the ball and our skills are improving with every session.

It was lovely to get outside and enjoy the September sunshine on the trim trail, especially after so many sessions of wet play!
Year 1 have been working really hard in maths and are all maths superstars. Children have been working on the less than, greater than and equal to symbols and have shown real resilience with their learning.
Year 1 drew large scale drawings of spirals on the playground using chalk as their chosen media. We concentrated on our movements, the motion of the chalk and the pressure we applied to the chalk. The children were so proud of their creations and loved showing them off to Ms McIlroy. We discussed how our drawings were not permanent as they would wash away when it rained next. The children were so happy that it hadn’t rained by the end of the day and couldn’t wait to show their families.
Orla first girl !!!
