During Prayer and Liturgy this term Reception have been exploring the meaning behind ‘Growing’. Lent is a time to grow in love to be more like Jesus and to look forward to Easter. We have been looking at how things grow in nature and the signs of new life all around us John 19: 25-27.
Year 2 have gathered together for a Prayer and Liturgy service about Lent. We read from the Book of Joel and asked God for help in keeping our Lenten promises.
During our Prayer and Liturgy services we had a very special visitor, Mrs McCarten. The children have been gathering together to show love. The children will go forth with God and spread the love they have in their hearts with their family and friends. Reception also gathered together in celebration. We thought about all the ways we gather together to celebrate mass. The children will go forth and think about the story of how Jesus welcomed the children…
Year 1 enjoyed their Prayer & Liturgy today. Gathering together and listening to God’s word (John13:34-35) really helped the children to focus on Jesus’ lessons about love.
We made an Easter garden and sang a song about Jesus rising from the dead.
