Year 3 had a superb time with the visiting scientist! We did lots of experiments – our favourite was lighting the light bulb! It was magnificent! We all had a marvellous time making slime.

Today we had a visit from a Science Boffin. We learnt a lot…and made slime!
Science Day
Today we had a scientist come to visit our school. It was amazing! Year 1 did lots of different experiments – our favourite one was was the one with the plasma ball. It was so exciting! Then we made our own slime that we can take home tonight.
Reception science
Joel taught us all about electricity today and also how liquids react to each other. We did our own experiment and made a tub of slime!
We tested to find out how some changes can be reversed.
We looked within our school environment, to group materials and the suitability of their use, based on their properties.
In Year 5, we used scientific investigation to find out if all solids dissolve when put in water.

Setting our butterflies free
We’ve been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and have watched our caterpillars grow and change over the last month. Today we handled the butterflies carefully as we set them free.
