Year 1 enjoyed celebrating St Joseph’s Day today.

Year 1 carried out an investigation to test different materials that would be suitable to make an umbrella. They made predictions, carried out a fair test, recorded their results and made conclusions.
The children in art club made fantastic paintings based on David Hockney’s ‘Potrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)’. They used graphite, oil pastels and water colours to produce their paintings.
Year 1 have been learning about computers. Today they have been scanning QR codes in search of collecting data of different computing pictures. Then they sorted the data into software and hardware. Well done Year 1 – excellent work today!!!
Today Year 1 went to the museum of Liverpool. It was the first time some of us had been on a coach and a brand new experience fir us all to visit this museum.
In the morning we looked at the different famous buildings in Liverpool and took part in a workshop then in the afternoon we looked at toys from the past. We all had a great day and enjoyed our first trip to the museum!
