Today we helped to dress the school tree!
We each too a turn to place a bauble on the school tree. We listened to our favourite Christmas songs and sang a few too. A great morning to get us in the festive spirit.

Year 1 are very proud of their Henri Matisse paintings. They have worked hard to mix colours and improve their knowledge of the primary colours.
Children in the Year 1 and 2 art club have really enjoyed sketching in the style of Henri Matisse and then using primary colours, white and black to mix new tones and shades. Take a look at our versions of Matisse’s work- we’re sure you’ll be impressed!
The children in our Y1 and Y2 art club loved making artwork with leaves they had collected from our playground. They made mermaids, dragons and under water worlds. Take a look, we’re sure you’ll be impressed!
Year 1 have been learning about belonging to different groups and how Baptism is an invitation to belong to God’s family.
The children have brought in some artefacts to share with the class from their own Baptisms.
The children were lucky enough to experience an assembly led by local poet and performer Levi Tafari today. The children loved the assembly and came back excited and intrigued about the poems they’d heard.
Year 1 have been learning about democracy.
We were given a choice of two books to read at the end of the day.
Each child was given a counter and we took it in turn to cast our votes.
When everyone had voted, we counted up the votes to see which book we would read.
The Day the Crayons quit was the winner!
The children enjoyed a pantomime performance of Cinderella today. The children really enjoyed the jokes, dancing and singing, and couldn’t help but join in!
