Y1 History Trip
Year 1 had a fantastic day out at the Museum of Liverpool where they explored the galleries and learnt about transport in the past. They also spent time observing and sketching interesting features of the docklands.

Year 1 loved showing off their Easter bonnets to end our time celebrating Easter over the past few weeks. We look forward to the new start that Spring brings and celebrate the hope Jesus’ resurrection brings us.
Year 1 loved playing football today. They learned different skills and learned how it was important to try new things.
Year 1 loved dressing up for World Book Day. We discussed lots of books, performed our poem ‘Time To Turn My Teacher Purple’ and creatively wrote our own stories.
Year 1 had a great time investigating which materials are waterproof and which aren’t.
Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed making pancakes today. They weighed ingredients, followed a recipe and decided on toppings they’d like on their pancakes. We also linked it to our Religious topic about Special Meals and discussed how people come together on Shrove Tuesday for pancakes, to use up eggs and fats before Lent.
Year 1 enjoyed their Prayer & Liturgy today. Gathering together and listening to God’s word (John13:34-35) really helped the children to focus on Jesus’ lessons about love.
Year 1 have enjoyed learning about Road Safety, especially being safe on scooters.
