Achieving our goals
Y3 – Dr Hill – Archaeologist Visit – November 2024
We had a visit from Dr John Hill, who is an archaeologist and a lecturer at Liverpool university.
He specialises in British Stone Age. We had a great afternoon looking at the artefacts that he brought in to show us but also listening to his stories and his expert knowledge. Lots of great learning opportunities!!
Y3/4 Lights Camel Action – Nativity 2024
The children of Y3 and 4 put on a fabulous Nativity show last week.
They were amazing! Fabulous acting, singing and dancing.
The teachers are so very proud of them all – well done!!
Y3 – Rocks and soil – November 2024
We have been learning all about different types of rocks in science. Today we classified them into groups. We were able to talk about the features of each and how they have different properties.
Visit to The Mosque
Today we went to visit the Al -Rahma Mosque in L8.
The children have been learning all about mosques during our work on Islam in other faith week, last week. They had a fantastic first hand experience of seeing inside the Mosque and were given tour of the building. The children asked some really excellent questions which have deepened their understanding and respect of the Islamic faith. They listened so well and thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience. We would like to thank Abdul our tour guide today and the Liverpool Muslim Society for their warm welcome.
Cafod Workshop
Today the children had a visit from Justine who works for Cafod. She led a workshop for us on how we can work together to make the world a better place. She helped us to remember everyone is special and how we should share fairly and promote peace. The children really enjoyed the session and took a lot away from it.
